Li Song 11/2022 Principle Investigator Li Song received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University in 2018, and finished the postdoc training in X. Shirley Liu lab and Heng Li lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2022. His research area is on computational biology. He has designed and implemented algorithms to analyze next-generation sequencing data, mostly RNA-seq data, for various applications, such as immune repertoire analysis, metagenomics, transcriptome assembly and sequencing read error corrections.
Yifei Gao 05/2024 QBS PhD candidate Yifei Gao received her Bachelor degree in Human Biology at UC San Diego. After several years working at biotech company, she pursued the master degree in public health at Brown University. Her research interest is study immune repertoire in cancers and leverage the knowledge for developing therapeutic strategies.

Jiaqian (Kristine) Xu 03/2026 QBS PhD student Kristine received her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, majoring in Mathematics with double minors in Computer Science and Statistics. She later completed a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics at Yale University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of computational science, mathematics, and biomedical research, with a particular focus on microbiome science and immunology. She is interested in applying computational and mathematical algorithms and tools to study complex biological systems and contribute to advances in medical science.
